Kindness of Acquaintances

I recently had my gallbladder removed. It wasn’t an emergency situation, but it wasn’t functioning and needed to come out. I have a few really close friends, but I was very pleasantly surprised who showed up for me in my time that I was in pain and discomfort. It was the kindness of acquaintances that brought me food. A lot of food for two straight weeks! It was such a blessing in disguise because it not only made it easy for me to move less, but it helped our grocery budget, too. Our neighbor had an “at home spa” gift box that she had a delivery service drop off. I didn’t know who it was from until I opened the box and a gift receipt with her name was on it. So special! This is my short story that there are people in your corner when you don’t even know it. The photo is a salad that someone brought me and because I have to watch my fat grams, I track everything I eat on an app.
