When I was a freshman in college, I was attending a small school just outside of Manhattan, New York. One particular weekend, I was going to drive home to Maryland and I had pre-planned to stop for gas in New Jersey because I knew that it would be cheaper (plus, I wanted them to pump the gas for me 😅) As I started driving, I saw that I was low on gas, but I thought I could still make it. However, as my odometer got lower, I started to panic – not only because I didn’t know if I would have enough gas, but I was also a little lost and didn’t know how far away I was. I ultimately decided to pull over on the side of a road to turn the car off and pray for help. Before I turned off the car, the odometer reading was below E. After my sincere prayer for enough gas and guidance to get to where I needed to go, my odometer miraculously jumped to above the E line! I then said another prayer of gratitude and started driving. And yes, I did make it to New Jersey for the cheap gas!
